When You Call My Name is a Nikkei Australia project.

When You Call My Name / Dr Sophie Constable is the winner of Capital Arts Patron Organisation All Insure Emerging Artist Award 2024. Sophie conducted research into Nikkei and Thai internees who died in the Aotearoa / New Zealand archives.

When You Call My Name is supported by Past Wrongs Future Choices (PWFC) to fund high quality First Edition printed catalogues of all the artworks in this project.

When You Call My Name, Broome, Western Australia via Nikkei Australia is a recipient of Rio Tinto Community Giving Program. The team in Western Australia commissioned Djugun-Yawuru photographer Michael Jalaru Torres to photograph Japanese Indigenous community members to portray internees who were captured in Broome. These photographs will also be exhibited in Broome.

When You Call My Name‘s high-end art prints for exhibitions were printed by Deluxe Art.

The Australian National University School of Culture, History & Language’s Immersia supported the workshops and exhibition launch of When You Call My Name and catalogue printing.
