When You Call My Name was launched at the Australian National University in Canberra in September 2025.

Artists, families, researchers and members of the public came together to remember 208 Japanese civilian internees who died in Australia during and just after the Second World War. Through artworks, the calling of names and a shared act of remembrance, the project took form as a collective memorial.
