YOU’RE AN INDEPENDENT ASIAN AUSTRALIAN ARTIST WITH A GREAT PROJECT. HOW DO YOU GET IT UP?
Welcome to the Longhouse – a place to meet, share stories and build a community.
Performance 4a’s Longhouse is a program of free events that will serve as a creative hub for Asian Australian performance makers to play/teach/learn/share/
The Longhouse combines informative and inspiring talks, performances, masterclasses and workshops with the opportunity to network with your peers. It’s free and all artists and arts workers with an interest in exploring Asian Australian themes through contemporary performance are welcome.
Our Inaugural event and Launch at the exciting creative space 107 Projects is a timely panel discussion about options for independent projects in the current funding climate. Our three speakers will spark your lateral thinking.
PASCHAL BERRY – Performance Curator, Blacktown Arts Centre
DINO DIMITRIADES – Artistic Director, Apocalypse Theatre Company
MAYU KANAMORI – performance-maker and photographer
The panel discussion and Q & A will be followed by refreshments.
