Study of Movements in Time is
Mayu Kanamori's dvd work utilising still photographs of dancer / choreographer,
Tess de Quincey and composer / saxophonist
Jim Denley, who were photographed, as they improvised their sound and movement.
Capturing the moment with a still camera fragments the flow of the movement in time. Compilation of the images with linear video editing software with multiple tracks for image and sound allows for the rebuilding of our memory of moments gone.
